The main character of My Hero Academia is Izuku Midoriya. He inherits the superpower of the world’s greatest hero, but greatness won’t come easy. This anime and manga series is created by Kohei Horikoshi. From his childhood, he always wants to be a superhero just like his idol All Might. All Might is the strongest superhero who inherits power of One for All. These powers are known as quirk. Unfortunately, Izuku born without quirk. But this thing is not enough to stop him from entering in one of the world’s most prestigious hero academies (UA).

Izuku Midoriya hero name is Deku. His childhood friend Katsuki Bakugo usually called him Deku. But Midoriya didn’t know what is the meaning of Deku. The meaning of Deku is “one who can’t achieve/do anything”. During UA admission, Uraraka told him that Deku name is very inspiring because this name gives a feeling of “I can do it.” So, Izuku decided to keep this name as his hero name.
Power of Izuku Midoriya
Deku inherits the power of One for All. This power is passed down from its previous user. In case of Izuku Midoriya, previous user of One for All is All Might. He was born quirkless same as Midoriya. He gets One for All power from his master and passed it to Midoriya. He is 9th user of this power.
