Step 1.

I would suggest you to disable the anti-virus program and try installing the iTunes.

Disclaimer: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you shouldn't disable your antivirus software. If you have to temporarily disable it to install other software, you should re-enable it as soon as you're done. If you're connected to the Internet or a network while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

I would recommend try installing latest version of iTunes and check if it helps. Download it from the below link.

I happen to reset my laptop and ended up deleting iTunes with it. I tried reinstalling the program but this error keep coming up HRESULT:0x80073715. I would really appreciate if someone could help.

He says that the problem is the iTunes installer itself and gives links to fix.

 tried it and wow, after 5 days with "specialist geeks' failing.  this was easy.

The message "An error occurred during installation of assembly 'Microsoft.VC80.CRT, type="win32", version="8.0.50727.6195", publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b", processorArchitecture=..." may occur because a particular library file is not included in the distribution
package supplied with iTunes or won't install for some unspecified reason. Installing the Microsoft
Visual C++ 2005 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package MFC Security Update before attempting to reinstall iTunes may help.

There are three files to choose from so you need to select the one that matches the processor architecture of your system, which should be noted in the error message.

• 
  vcredist_x86.EXE - 32-bit systems
• 
  vcredist_IA64.EXE - Itanium processors
• 
  vcredist_x64.EXE - other 64-bit systems

When reinstalling iTunes right-click on the installer and run as administrator.

This worked for me!
