(Pocket-lint) - Each month, PS4, PS4 Pro and PS5 owners who subscribe to Sony's PlayStation Plus service get to download and play a great selection of free games.

PS Plus is PlayStation's online gaming service, which provides access to multiplayer gaming and other benefits, including money off many digital purchases. It also gives a great line-up of free titles that would usually cost a packet.

PlayStation 5 owners also get an added bonus of 20 classic PS4 games to play on their next-gen console through the PlayStation Plus Collection. And, an additional free native PS5 game for good measure.

A PS Plus subscription usually costs £6.99 per month, £19.99 for three-months or £49.99 for a whole year's worth - but is currently available for less as a Black Friday deal.

On all consoles

These games are available to all PlayStation console owners, they can be downloaded and played on a PS4, PS4 Pro, PS5 or PS5 Digital Edition.

Worms Rumble

• Available: 1 December 2020 to 4 January 2021

Prepare to see Worms in an all-new light. This is a real-time, arena-based 32 player combat game, with Battle Royale and other modes for invertebrates to wreak havoc in. Worms can also be customised Fall Guys style, so expect fancy duds to go with the destruction.

Just Cause 4

• Available: 1 December 2020 to 4 January 2021

Rico Rodriguez is back in this open-world action adventure. The whole of the fictional South American country of Solis is your playfield, as you attempt to liberate it from the grip of the Black Hand.

Rocket Arena

• Available: 1 December 2020 to 4 January 2021

Rocket Arena is a fast-paced 3v3 PVP shooter that should "take-off" now it's being offered across platforms for free.

On PS5 only

These games are only available to PS Plus members who own a PlayStation 5 or PS5 Digital Edition.

Bugsnax

• Available: Until 4 January 2021

Launching with the console in November, Bugsnax will still be available to PS5 owners until January. Developed by the team behind Octodad, it is an adventure game as silly and funny as it is engrossing.

PlayStation Plus Collection

The PlayStation Plus Collection is a line-up of 20 classic PS4 games available to download and play on PS5 through backward compatibility. In some cases, they will have boosts to the loading times and graphical performance on PS5 (ie. frame rates).
